The Global Peace Academy (GPA) is one of several major projects and many smaller projects now development.  Each will celebrate the Global Peace Legacies of Gandhi & King.  Remember that it is Dr. King who warns us that we cannot forget Gandhi.  And LOOK what Mahatma Gandhi says about education and the youth; our future!  The Mahatma ("Great Soul") stated:

"IF we are to teach real peace in the world... we must begin with the children."

"Let's remember that Gandhi established the Satyagraha Movement ('Insistence on Truth'). When children are born, they have no opinions. Raise them well and TELL them the Truth. DREAM of Peace, act accordingly, change the world."

~ Geri Taran - Founder, In the Company of Writers, Co-Founder of the Georgia Writers Association and Atlanta: City of Peace, Inc. (ACP)

The Global Peace Academy (GPA) will eventually be a fully accredited educational institution by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and our goal will be to award the Bachelor of Arts degrees in Peace Cultivation.

The Global Peace Academy (GPA) is a major project from Atlanta: City of Peace, Inc. (ACP) which is an early-stage secular & interfaith organization whose mission is to celebrate Atlanta's global peace legacy and to help Dr. King's birthplace experience its true destiny of becoming transformed and formalized into a Global Capital of Peace. FYI: It is essentially Dr. King, CURRENTLY the world's most often referenced Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, who encourages all to remember Mahatma Gandhi. Consider Dr. King's CHALLENGING & SOBERING words --- which are also a serious warning:

"Gandhi was inevitable. If humanity is to progress, Gandhi is inescapable. He lived, thought, and acted, inspired by the vision of humanity evolving toward a world of peace and harmony. We may ignore Gandhi at our own risk."
